You may have seen in the press recently that, as from April 6 2015 the UK Government are tightening up the laws surrounding cold callers, making it easier to impose fines of up to £500,000 for any organisations calling individuals and companies that have their numbers registered with the Telephone Preference Service.
Previously it would have to be proven that these unwanted calls had caused “substantial damage or substantial distress” before action would be taken, now even a single incident could leave a company liable to a substantial fine.
There is still a lot of confusion over the law but the fact remains that, if you’re making outbound calls to people – and companies – who have not requested it and their number is TPS/CTPS registered you are putting your business at risk. Could you really still remain in business with a £500k fine hanging over your head?
But fear not, help is at hand!
We have partnered with a fantastic, uk based telephone preference checking service which can check anything from single numbers up to large databases of contacts and will give you the peace of mind of knowing that you’re fully compliant and operating within the law and, if you follow the link in this email, they’ll give you 1000 credits free of charge.
Can you really afford not to?
